Sure is---why do people bother with such junk? Could have made a nice sporter with a decent sport stock.

I believe what we have here is a Mountain Scout Carbine. Looks pretty darned nice, even if I do say so myself.:1948:

Good job on bringing one back that far.

I have a No. 4 Enfield that got butchered some years ago and I am thinking it might look good with a nice full length Mannlicher style stock and a stub barrel. I don't think it will look as nice as the Mauser you have there, but it could at least restore some of old Long Branch Canadian's dignity and make her look like more of what she is.

Fine job there. Again, a salute to you and her.
