Need M1 Carbine stock help please

Guys,
Was the large Ord. wheel on the right side of the stock used on only M2 stocks? The stock in question is and Inland with the IO in the sling well. Also,how do you tell the difference in high wood and low wood stocks? Thanks. Shawn

The Ordnance Dept inspectors at Inland used a large ordnance wheel throughout Inland production on all the stocks except M1A1 stocks.

The top stock is a high wood.
