Went to a gun show in Kentucky today sold a Marlin 22 and bought a type 38 with the mum for 200.00 it was missing the safety and the firing pin spring. Took one off my 38 carbine to try everything works well and it shoots good.So I ordered the parts from Gunparts co.

you can also look on ebay...there are a lot of people stripping arisakas down and selling for parts...you might get lucky and find one that will match your rifle?

Took the rifle apart none of the numbers match but I am still pleased. Thinking I may sell my carbine its stock had been sporterised. I reattached front wood but finding a new handguard has been tough it really needs a whole new stock
.My goal has been to have a rifle from every major player from w w II all I like is a Carcano.

Look for a separate number and symbol on the bottom of the receiver. Then look to see if the separate "assembly number" matches any of the other parts. The assembly number is not the same as the receiver number.

Crow taste good. I was wrong all of it matches the only thing that wont will be the safety when I receive it. I love this group I always learn something new.
