I would like to hear from guys who own this single action pistol since I am thinking of getting one. I am especially interested in the trigger. How much is the pull weight? Is it crisp like a Colt National Match .45? Is it adjustable? And any other information that might be offered would also be appreciated.

How much is the pull weight? around 4-6 pounds with some creep and resetting.

Is it crisp like a Colt National Match .45? HECK NO, it's a 500 pistol!

(and assuming you mean an OLDER NM Colt of course).

Is it adjustable? NO (but it can be tweaked by several competent people if you like)

it's as accurate as any 9mm vin-ordinairre hi-cap, perhaps a bit better usually and very reliable. price is very good.

were I going to buy a 9mm heavy duty shooter (1000+ rounds year) I would buy a GLOCK or Smith M&P). If I wanted a nice accurate 9mm with a great triggger I would get a 1911 FRAMED pistol in 9mm-of which there are many out there these days).

9mm 1911s are super easy to shoot well, AND you can always upgrade accuracy or trigger pull for very reasonable cost down the road to make it VERY accurate indeed.

every year, without failure. We even have a 1st year production Browning High Power that I used as a duty gun for years & I have no idea how many 1000's of 9mm's I put through it. well over 6000 rds anyway before I retired it to use a Colt .45ACP 1911A1 C series, or a Colt Python in .357 mag.

I know of no Glocks that have been shot as much as any of these three pistols or for that matter a S&W medium frame revolver in .357mag, there is not the track record for the Glocks as there is for the S&W, Colt & Browning firearms.

Plus there are SERIOUS issues with Glocks failing using well made reloaded ammo, the Glock factory folks tell you NEVER to use reloads in their guns of any types. Many Glock users bought/buy a BarSto match barrel for their various Glocks to make them SAFER & more dependable with any range of ammo.

hope this helps,

Be safe, enjoy life, journey well.

I shoot a CZ 75B with the Kadet upper a lot (750 rds last week). Its a great pistol. The trigger is not in the same league with a 41 or High Standard though. Can feel the hammer move back a little before dropping. Have an old CZ75 from 70s that is much smoother.

All reasonably documented catastrophic failures of Gloacks have been in the Models 20-something Glock (.40 S&W, 10mm and .45 ACP). There have been no confirmed cases of Glock blow=ups in the 9 x 19mm (Models 17, 17L, 18, 19 and 26) or the .380 ACP/9 X 17mm (Models 25 and 28) whether "well made" or not.

I would take the Glocks accuracy, stone-cold reliability, amazing simplicity, high build quality, and decent trigger over a heavy and fairly clunky CZ75 any day of the week given a choice. The fact that there are (almost certainly) exactly ZERO law enforcement agencies handing out CZ75s to their users should tell you something.

the old Brwning HiPower in 9mm .

On the CZ, I can say nothing, never owned or used 1, nor to the best of my knowledge, have of my friends either. A lot of younger LEO's here carry one of the new S&W autos , or the Springfield Armory autos, and seem quite happy with them.

I do know that with good reloads out of our Dillon 550, & the old RCBS Rockchucker, I'll put em through any of our handguns or rifles. Will you fire even your handloads through yours?

1 friend carries a Glock 9mm, I hope you are correct about them, on his salary, a new BarSto 9mm barrel is out of reach for some time.Good luck to you sir, & here's hoping your pistol still works fine for you in the future.

Had a CZ SA a while back, but sold it off as I like my OLD CZ75 ('80's vintage) rather better. If you want a 1911 trigger you're best served with a 1911!
BTW Glocks in 9mm generally last about 40,000 rounds before needing parts. G17 barrels are good for around 100-125,000 rounds before the lower lug breaks, slides about 200,000 before cracking, and frames, well, saw a couple at the 300 to 500,000 round count and still running. (In fact, the frames out lasted all the other bits!) The bigger caliber weapons they make I can't comment on, as they were just coming on-line when I moved on to a higher paying job.

I have a CZ75 in .40 cal. Finish is very good and it's a well made firearm. Should last many many rounds and is more accurate than I am.

Bigger and bulkier than my Hi Power, but significantly less expensive and it has the larger mag. I put a couple of hundred rounds through mine, and unfortunately I had a couple of extracted case jams which I'm not sure if was due to the ammo or not> I think I was mostly using PMC FMJ at the time. Trigger was ok in my opinion, but not sure how it compares to a NM trigger. I like the "cock and lock" safety feature. All in all a nice gun for the money, but I would not use it as a carry pistol due to the jams I experienced and because of the relatively large size of the gun itself.
