There is a "4" in front of the lug.
I checked my Clawson's and CoolGun Site and I don't see it.

Is there no marking on the top of the chamber, or the breech end of the barrel? Initials on the left side of the lug and a number ahead of the lug are common on 1911 barrels.

On much closer inspection I found a very faint "H" behind the "P" on top of the barrel near the breech. I had to rub chalk over the top of the barrel to see it. Thanks.

The barrel is a Colt.
