I would bring a shop apron or a change of old clothes as you will be working on rifles Saturday. Latex or Nitrile gloves are must to handle greasy rifles. If you have a digital camera then bring it to record your trip or things of interest such as GCA celebrities. ;) Throat and muzzle gauge always come in handy as you may find something you may want to check out and take home. The tentative schedule of events pretty much dictates what to throw in the suitcase.
Tentative Schedule of Events
Thursday October 8, 2009
4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. For those arriving early, we will have early check-in at the CMP. GCA members will be required to check in at both GCA registration and CMP registration. All participants must view a short safety video and receive a CMP badge before entry. If youre arriving early, this will help get everyone registered promptly.
Friday, October 9, 2009
8:00 a.m. Onsite registration for both GCA and CMP opens 10:00 a.m. Air Rifle Matches begin. Lunch: CMP will provide hot dogs, soft drinks and other snacks complimentary. 1:00 p.m. As you complete the Air Rifle Match, board one of the shuttle vans for tours of four CMP buildings that are not normally open to visitors. To keep vehicle traffic minimized do not use your own vehicle ride the shuttle.

John F,
Thanks for the reply. I have volunteered at CMP Anniston three times. Twice in the early days when they were still on base. Sounds like Saturday will be similar to the old volunteer days. Inspecting rifles etc. etc. etc.
The dirtiest I ever got was with the '03 that came back from Greece. They were packed with greese!
Regards, Ray
