I posted this photo a while back to identify the stamp on this MSH..

I was reading Clive Laws book "The Inglis Diamond" and there it was. It is a Canadian proof that replaced the Broad Arrow "C" stamp!!!!! Now why a Colt M1911A1 would have a late Canadian proof stamp is still a mystery.....

It also looks like one of the many oddly shaped stamps that Remington used and uses still.
