    Default Korean ammo

I have 6-50rnd. boxes of korean 30 carbine ammo. I wanted to do a primer test but could not budge a bullet with one of those hammer type pullers. Tried to pull it with pliers but could only get it to turn, could not get it out. Lot # 1-320, headstamp PS 75. Finely cut case below bullet and did a primer test but very little residue on the steel. Are bullets so tight a saftey hazard (hi-pressure?) and is ammo non-corrisive? Any comments appreciated. Thank you.

PS-75(Made by PMC in Korea) is non-corrosive. Some early lots had problems but your lot number should be fine.

OOOOPPPPPSSSSS! that's Carbine ammo! I was thinking M2 Ball. Still, if it's stamped PS(Again, PMC) it'll be non-corrosive.

In fact it's considered to excellent ammo for the carbine. Non corrosive and loaded to USGI spec.

If you want to pull bullets you'll need a Hornady Cam-Loc bullet puller. Pulls them out no matter how tight.

As far as I know the only folks that made corrosive carbine ammunition were the French who made a small run. Non corosive primers are mil-spec for the carbine from the beginning until now.

Whoa There Art! You're forgetting about the infamous Chinese ammo with a LC headstamp. It's corrosive and has berdan primers.

You are correct sir. I was thinking of ammunition actually manufactured for military use :-) not the counterfiet Chinese L.C.

That's most curious! I always thought the Chinese 30 carbine ammo was manufactured for the use in captured weapons. What is the story on this ammo?

IMHO if it had been made to be used in captured weapons it wouldn't have been marked LC. The Chinese have a kaboodle of assorted captured weapons and I have a sneaking suspecion, that not being stupid, anything they made for a captured M1 Carbine for their own use was non corrosive.

I think the Chinese made LC headstamp stuff was probably made to fool the gullible.
