Default Light load for 9mm revolver

Looking for a light to medium load for my S&W 9mm revolver. Preferably Red Dot 'cause I have fesces-load of it from shot gun re-loading. I do have other pistol powders on hand -- I understand beggars can't be chosers.

Using 115 truncated-cone cast WW bullet.

    Thanks y'all.

Try 3.6 grs of Red Dot to start with and a top load of 5 grs.

"...fesces..." That the same as feces? Excrement is easier to spell. snicker.
My Lyman Pistol and Revolver manual(Geezuz, senility sucks. Had to to do a net search to remember I had it.) gives 3.9(1055fps) to 4.9(1200 fps) of Red Dot for a 115 grain cast bullet. .997" OAL. Who made it doesn't matter. Any cast bullet will be relatively light out of any 9mm.
"...truncated-cone cast..." Love 'em. 121 grain TC's with Bullseye feed extremely well out of my Inglis BHP.
    Spelling and grammar count!

I think 3.3 would be your starting load-those loads of 3.6 and over are hot loads and would probably lead your barrel

3.6 a hot load? I don't think so as it's listed as 966 fps from a 4" barrel and 5.0 is listed at 1197 fps.

He is shooting a revolver and most likely with a barrel length of 2 to 3 inches. What I listed is for a standard 9mm pistol with 4' barrel. He will not be getting the velocity listed in the books. Even the top load will not be fast enough to cause much if any leading of the barrel especially since he is using wheel weights to cast his bullets.

load the 115 gr LTC with 6 grs of Unique, cycles any semi too, great accuracy in our BHP.

Might as well come up with a load that works in any 9mm, whether revolver or semi.
