Default Question on rear sling swivel bracket

Stratton calls this bracket 1950's..Its on my 1943 US Property Savage No4Mk1*..I think its original, and Ive seen and heard of several others in the same SN range with this bracket, instead of the milled version..1943?
    Any opinions? Mine..

Corresponded with Skip via e-mail several times before he died. He agreed that there were errors in his books, but that was what second editions were for.

We must also keep in mind that much of his data was compiled from observed specimens. That was at a time before the international community of collectors came to full fruition via the internet.
