Default 75 gr or 77 gr BTHP 223 loads

Hey all is anyone shooting or has shot some of the 75 gr BTHP or the 77 gr BTHP in the 223? I am using a 1 in 7 inch twist on an AR15. Just wondering if anyone has had any luck and with what powders or powder bullet combo. Thanks in advance

I tried W748, H4895, IMR 4895, RL15, and Varget. The powder I found that worked best in my AR rifle, and achieved the best accuracy, was Varget. My Colt AR rifle has a 1/7 twist. My load is 24.0 grains of Varget, Winchester cases, Nosler 77 grain HPBT, Remington 7-1/2 primers, 2.260" OAL, and the load chronographed at 2652 FPS. I found this to work best in my rifle and I still use it. Reduce load by 10% and work up for safety.

Varget gives me the best accuracy in my AR. I've used the 77gr SMK, Hornady 75 gr BTHP (not A-max) & 75 gr Prvi, all withsubMOA accuracy.
We ain't come this far just to dump this thing in the drink. What's the nearest target of opportunity?

24.5 grains RL15, winchester or LC case, remington 7.5 primer, loaded to mag length. If gun doesn't shoot sub MOA, you have gun problems.

I use 24.5 of Varget with CCI Benchrest primers and either Win. or BHA brass and the 77 SMK's. Also, AA 2520 at the same weight does great (but some muzzle flash). Great and similar results at 200 and 300 yards (I use 80 SMK's at 600, same Varget charge of 24.5)

    23.5-24.5 of N140, RL15, AA2520 + Rem 7.5's
    22.5-23.5 of the 4895's, AA2230 + Rem 7.5's
All these loads are sub MOA in a good rifle. I use 1:7 with a wylde or CLE chamber.

Jem and Jake thanks for the tips I will try them also. I just wish the snow would melt so I could get to the outdoor range.
