I guess that ever since we "discussed" going green the earth reversed it's
course with disaster? Is it (gasp) possible that it was all a scam set up by wacko democRATS to help take over?

The lefts ability to run a scam is akin to the Chinese's skill at building scaffolding.
They can get in up in operation quickly, but it usually collapses before its served its full intented purpose

Back in the early 70's the cry was that the earth was cooling and the next ice age was upon us. What the heck happened (besides Al Bore)?
Here in Tahoe we have had a much cooler than normal summer and have already had one small snowfall. We have temps in the high 20's and low 30's in the mornings and only 60's during the day. It is much too early for this to be happening.
There has been much talk of an El Niño this year which could mean colder temps and more snow. We shall see.

When I was a kid in the late seventies and early 80s, they were still pushing that "global cooling" crap in school, along with tales of how acid rain was going to dissolve Mt. Rushmore. Teachers union in Philly had quite a few burned out hippies and "fellow travelers" sliding into 40 and wanting to poison the minds of the next generation before the size of their belly flab caught up with the size of their big yappers. Had the opposite effect on me as you can see. Never was around any firearms or hunting when I was a kid either, picked that one up on my own when I was a teenager after I discovered my great granddads Model 12 riot gun wrapped up in some plastic in Gramps' attic.

White House science czar John Holdren, who is still screaming 'global warming' to get Cap and Tax passed in 1971 predicted 1 billion people would die in "carbon-dioxide induced famines" in a coming new ice age by 2020.

Holdren predicted in a 1971 textbook co-authored with Paul Ehrlich that global over-population was heading the Earth to a new ice age unless the government mandated urgent measures to control population, including the possibility of involuntary birth control measures such as forced sterilization.
