Default Powdervalleyinc.com has Wolf primers, $25.50/1000

Powdervalleyinc.com has Wolf primers in stock for $25.50 per thousand. Better price than Widener's. Now is the time to stock up on primers for the future, don't be left out in the cold this time!

Have you ever tried these primers? I've heard mixed reviews about them although generally, the MAG primers get good reviews.

    Thx

Mixed reviews on Wolf primers here too. Since I got all the Federals I needed at the Nationals for $35/1000, and so can anyone else (Champion's Choice)...I'd be reluctant to buy Russians. But it's still a good "heads up" for those still looking and can tolerate maybe a little lower quality primer.

I've been shooting the Wolf primers for awhile. Both in my 03 and the AR. I finally ran out of the large rifle and am now shooting Winchester. THe Wolf primers are more consistent, less vertical dispersion at 600yds. Thinking about selling the Winchesters and buying some more Wolf.

I have never used them, so I can't say anything them except that at the Reno Gun Show two weeks ago the Wolf primers went begging. Dealers had thousands stacked to the wall when the door opened on Friday and most still had them on Sunday. You could buy any amount wanted. This was a dramatic turn around from the last show in April when it was a stampede and a fist fight for those trying to get primers. The dealers sold every last primer they had in one day at that show.

I've used Russian SR primers for .223 and they work real well. I'm using the SR magnum primers for 6mmBR at the urging of several XTC and long range shooters I shoot with. They work every bit as well as CCI BR-4. I have Russian LR magnum, but I haven't had time to try them. Guys shooting Palma have told me they work great in .308.

I purchased the SR and LR magnum primers from Bruno Shooters Supply in Phoenix.

Since Wolf has been the only primer in the last 6 month's that has been available, many of my shooting friends along with myself have only used Wolf! The only lower quality feature in regard to the Russian primer is the cardboard packaging over the trays and the box they use.
In our group of 15 shooters, no misfires, and very consistant groupings, without stringing. The LRM primers are slightly larger in diameter than American primers, I have not measured the LR or the SRM as of yet. If you have cases where RP or Winchester seem to install too easily, try the Wolf, you will see they seat as if the brass was new.
I still can't understand why Federal, Winchester, CCI, Magtech and Remington combined cannot produce primers for the American consumer, but one company, Wolf can supply the entire world!
I'm sold on Wolf primers, and now have enough for the rest of my grandkid's lives. Reloaders should reconsider their buy "American attitude" on primers, you'd better buy Wolf now or you may not be able to have any. The American companies are not producing for us and when and if they do, you will see price increases from them that are astounding!
