    Default Member classification

As a fairly recent returnee (and many thanks AGAIN for re-starting!) but a very large contributor to the old boards, I'm puzzled by the "titles" applied here, such as "junior member". They SEEM to be based either on length of membership, or number of postings? And, for what does "OFC" stand? Thanks in advance for clarification - not found in FAQs, by the way?.

I'm guessing the membership rating can be adjusted by the sysop a little, as some of them seem tongue in cheek. OFC stands for "Old Farts Club", of which I am not a member. I was actually surprised how many other 20-30 somethings there are like me here.

Take no offense! I am labelled a "Senior Member" merely because I post often. It's their way of calling me "chatty"

Thanks to all, and, no offense taken, whatsoever. Aha, my suspicions WERE correct about OFC! I was a bit reluctant to ask, because I was afraid it was some military acronym of which I did not want to appear ignorant. At 72 next month, I surely qualify.

But you have to apply to Clyde for membership. Simple to do, just PM him and ask him. Clyde will guide you through it.
