    Default Hornaday garand ammo

Found out late that I have the entire CMP week off for Perry so going to shoot my GArand all
the way through. Would like to know if there is an improved difference with this ammo over
    Greek HXP.
Also, I have a match Garand, but have not shot it in a while and the only chance to practice
with it may be at Perry. Should I use it or shoot the Garand I have been practicing with.
Have been shooting high SS/ Expert scores.
    Thanx

I can't address the ammunition issue.
However, were I to guess or speculate I would expect the Hornady to be the more accurate.
I suggest you use the rifle that is the more accurate one.

Shoot Hornady through the more accurate rifle.

HXP is 150gr Ball ammo; it'll hold somewhere around "minute of enemy" out to about 500yd.

Hornady is 168gr Match ammo; it'll hold close to "minute of angle" past 600yd.

An M1 is an M1. Practice with one is practice with them all.

Thank you for your input. Now all I have to do is find someone on Commercial Row who sells 20 Rds individual boxes. See you at Camp Perry.

CMP sells it by the case (200 rounds, I believe). Practice makes perfect, so buy 2 cases and shoot up 1 before Perry
