I gotta admit that I'm hinky as heck on the burned in imprints/marks on those stocks, I'd pass on them. There was a guy selling M1 Garands with all sorts of USMC stampings/burning imprints on the stocks that he foisted off on the unwary, & he's been doing it for better than 30 years........think he was from Long Island, NY, those shotgun stocks surely remind of his "creativity".
