Default Trapdoor carbine front sight blade

I need a Trapdoor carbine front sight blade, or two. I bought a Trapdoor carbine and it shoots 2.5 feet high at 100 yards with my Trapdoor load. I would like to buy a couple of reproduction or real TALL front sight blade that I can file down to the right height to get the carbine to shoot dead on at 100yds using the rear sight all the way down ( battle sight) . It looks like there is just a pin holding the blade in place that I could drift out and replace it with the taller one. Has anyone else done this? Does anyone know where to get the taller front sight blade?

Measure the thickness & get some metal of that thickness & make your own. Yes the pin holds them in.

The pin is slightly tapered, and should be driven out from the left side, then reinserted from the right. The "right" side is the side with the hammer and lockplate.

Thanks for the help. I'll probably work on it this weekend. I'll try and get some pics up next week and get some info on what I have.
    Thanks again.

Does anyone have a couple of extra front sight blade pins for a Trapdoor carbine that they want to sell or know where to get them?
