I'm still driving my 98 Ram that had $20 worth of repairs required in the first 10yrs 100,000 miles. I change the oil whenever I remember and I have two throttle settings, cruise and WIDE OPEN. I've jumped it a few times and done some world of outlaws style sliding on mountain roads with 3/4ton of fire wood in the back. I have been told I do not baby my bay. Too bad I didn't get a long lasting reliable foreign truck....LMAO

I'm not a Furd fan but I bet you can keep driving it for a few more decades if you want.....Unless we get that $20gal gas they need to force electric cars on us. Anyone see "the last chase" I'll bury my truck under my garage before I let the gubberment take it.

Any politician would open up the Gulf to oil exploration 6 months before election time. That would give gas prices a chance to fall considerably before November. That's the only way I see gas prices coming down like that.

I get so irked when the topic becomes oil prices, gas prices, and the oil supply. Just how STUPID can people be, starting with the Obummer administration? It is obvious that he don't give a hoot what the price of gas is for his "people".

When you get loons like O'Reilly saying, "the supply of oil has nothing to do with the price of oil", so many slurp it up. Those of us driving our 1969 440ci, 375hp Plymouth GTX's in 1974 saw what happened first hand when OPEC "punished us" by cutting off our oil supply. Uhhh, the price of gas shot UP. Fast forwarding to just last year, Obummber "punishes Louisiana and Texas" by cutting off the oil rigs in the Gulf. That's what you guys get for not voting for Obummer. That will LEARN you. So the rest of the country has to suffer with $3.50 gas for the last year.

Think, people, think. A couple months ago Obummer blessed us with some oil from the SPR, gas prices dropped what, $.20 to $.30. Gee, ain't he a nice guy. But it's back up now, the great Obummer giveth, then he taketh. But it should tell even the dumbest of the dumb that the SUPPLY influences the price.

Here's where you slap your forehead and say, "Gee, I should have known that".

But you have to take into consideration that he is depending, more so now than ever, on his Granola Eating voters on the Left Coast. They say, "Oil is BAD, BAD". They chant that as they tool around in their 12mpg, V-24 Mazeratti's. Then they scream, "Need to TAX those filthy RICH. But don't expect ME to write in an extra $100 on MY Income Tax".

    I know, ranting again.

Well, He really won't be happy this time around then Despite his horrible F-ing over of our state, Rick Perry has still been doing a better job with the state than he has with the rest of the country. How's Illinois doing now by the way?

Are you sure about that? Even despite Obama's incredible leadership and the fine fine politicians that have been in place to guide the state. Hmmmmmm interesting....LOL

Maybe Michelle digging in her vegetable garden will accidentally uncork an oil gusher in the rose garden ?
A more likely scenario is that we'll be in a depression by 2012, and no one will be able to afford $2 gas !

Open a gusher? I rather she would open a 12 story deep sink hole and hit the bottom with a 10 ft stalagmite up her bum.

IMHO dogtag could be right. The markets seem to be heading into the septic tank (they already passed the toilet). World wide markets continue a downward spin. Hyper inflation may be next.
