I am still trying to figure out why our state dept gave millions to Arab countries to renovate Mosques, while the Saudi's buy private jumbo jets, expensive cars and palaces for their royal families. I am damm tired of playing "Uncle Sugar" to people who spit on us

Start charging politicians an Oxygen tax. They're using entirely too much. I'm thinking $5.00 a breath plus a licensing fee for operating a waste generating facility or a certification fee to register them as alchemists. After all, they are converting air into bullsh!t.

No problem. Cut out foreign aid, ground Air Force One, lock Hillary in her office at the State Dept., send “Greyhound one” back to Canada, chain Obamma to his desk in the Oval office, cut out Congress’s “fact finding missions,” and plant some weed on “hair plug Joe” then send him to Turkey.
This would take care of a lot of the national debt.

When it is no longer beneficial to grow, there is no growth. If I make 400,000 a year and keep 300,000 I will want to make more to keep more. If you say I will get taxed 50% at 500,000 then why would I work harder to only keep 250,000? (those figures are only meant to reinforce a point not represent actual or proposed tax rates)
This effort to tax the rich is based on some sort of assumption that the rich just sit on their cash and that cash is stored in their mattreses. The goal of taxing the rich more is to give the government control over their money that "they werent doing anything with anyway" (gee no kidding Phil, tell us something we dont know).

This seems attractive if you buy into the myth all that cash is tucked into their mattresses. Thats not reality. At minimum they have their money in an interest bearing savings account if not invested elsewhere. The power of that money is in the hands of the individual wealth earner and the private institutions which they entrust to loan out and invest their money. Private individuals going to a bank in which the rich have deposited their money have the power of choice and the ability to negotiate their best deal gaining a loan to buy a house, start a business, or whatever. The bank has a responsibility to earn a profit (this despite the debacle they got themselve into with the sub prime mess) and they will make decisions based on sound economic principles.

If the government gains control of that money through taxation the individual loses freedom of choice. The government gains a monopoly over the control of this wealth building currency and as we know they are not concerned with any sort of fiscal responsibility and you can be sure each dollar spent will not result in the creation of more wealth, more likely the opposite, the frittering away of wealth -perhaps a gift to ACORN.

This isnt a "Lets be jealous of the rich" issue this is a "We want more power to control you" issue. Do you want the government deciding how to distribute the nations "underutilized" earned wealth or do we want a healthy number of private businesses in competition to distribute that "excess" wealth? Who would be more interested in determining if you have a political party affiliation when filing an application for a loan - the bank or the government - and how would that information be used?

PS to Warren Buffet If you think you should be taxed more just whip out the pen, write a check and send it to the treasury. I know they will accept it. Whats stopping you?

It is a jealousy issue with those who would VOTE based on these faulty ideas. And the libs know it. The government wants the money and they know liberal voters want it too. If they can make the rich out to be evil and the lazy to be oppressed by those same rich, suddenly the Dems are Robin F-ing Hood. I think anyone who wants to tax the rich to spread the wealth should sit down at the end of each month and write out a check to the IRS for any money they have not spent from their checking. Let them try that a few times and see if they feel the same way.
I own firearms not to fight against my government, but to ensure I will not have to.

Reminds me of the story about the communist politician giving a speech.

To the crowd he said "See that man with two houses. When we are in power we will take away one of his houses and give it to a person that has none!" Warren ODrama standing in the crowd thought "Yeah, I agree with that. I could use a house instead of renting"

Continuing the speech maker said "And see the man with two tractors. When we are in power we will take one of his tractors and give it to the family that has none so that they can farm for a living!" Warren thought "yes finally, I will have the means to run a farm!".

Than the commie went further "And you see the man who has two shirts. When we are in power we will take one of his shirts and give it to the man that has none." And Warren spoke up and said "This is bull****! I have two shirts!"
