Greetings Enfield enthusiasts. I am looking for a SMLE No.I MKIII rear sight with windage. Does somebody know where to get one without being charged an arm or a leg?

Try Springfield sporters or Numrich Gun Parts corp, I remember one of them used to have them, both have decent prices. They're showing on ebay a bit at the moment and the prices are mild to wild, so you could try that also. cheers R
Windage on a No. 1 was adjusted with the front sight only. Usually by weapons techs. Anything else is aftermarket, commercial.
Spelling and grammar count!
The non-windage adjustable sight was phased in during WWI w/ the introduction of the SMLE MkIII*. MkIII(no star) rifles DID have rear sights that were windage adjustable, as well as some MkIII*'s (as original equipment or added during rebuild after the war).
Sometimes the easiest and overall cheapest way to get one is to find a "Bubba'd" sporter and either swap sights or buy the whole thing for parts/trading fodder (after you rob the "good" bits).

you might as well seek one of the Parker Hale or other Brit match sights (also VERY expensive).
on the other hand, you can get a C-Clamp for 2 dollars at Tru-Value and hacksaw off the tip and then grind the nub smooth, Voila, adjuster.

Of course you could go with a Parker-Hale or AJ.Parker micrometer sight. They are expensive but so are micrometer sights made for American rifles.
The nice part is that the sights can be fitted without any mods to the rifle. simply an exchange with the original parts.
Target shooters in the commonwealth simply removed the target sights and reinstalled the original bitswhen selling off one rifle and moved the sights to another rifle
Tom, here is one on ebay right now. Click on this link http://cgi.ebay.com/Rear-Sight-for-L...item2c5181636c
That is a Mk I rear sight. Not what he is looking for. He needs the Mk III rear sight, fortunately more common, and a lot less expensive.
