My brother has a Tokarev, the 7.62 X 25mm round is surprisingly controlable. About on par with the average 9mm pistol I would say.
He shoots Selliet&Bellot ammunition through it and it is a very accurate gun even though it was build in 1940.
The only thing I don't like about this pistol is the back part of the grip. Because of the large rounded section I can't get my hand around it very well. Because of that I am forced to grip it a little lower, which makes for a somewhat uncomfortable grip. If you can get used to the grip, clean it properly, and feed it modern day ammo, it is a very nice and accurate gun.
