Default 03-A4 from CMP Lottery in 1999

I took a few pictures of this 03-A4 from the CMP Lottery in 1999. It was the $650 grade that came with the base. The M84 also came from the CMP around that time. The rifle has been through a rebuild so I decided the M84 would be an appropriate scope.

I own 3409655, a rebuild with barrel date of 3-43. It came equipped with an M84. I obtained it in in 1968; unfortunately it had a cutdown scant grip stock (sporterized by "Bubba").

I remember those lottery M1903s - signed up for the lottery and I was scared to death I'd win ... my home life at that time was NOT condusive to rifle purchases!! I didn't.

Rick, your post reminded me of the other part of the story. When the M1D and 1903 lottery came up, both my wife and I submitted letters. She had an interest and was also a member of the TSRA, so it was easy. She was selected for an M1D in 1997, and of course in those days you had to submit fingerprints. I guess that was the part I had failed to mention...... She was a good sport though as we went down to the local police department and had the officer take her prints, ha!
