And if it goes to 12 or 20 pages, just read from the start and save the headache. The truth is, not every police department needs a SWAT, dynamic entry, special assistance, or whatever you want to call it and not every warrant needs to be served by kicking in the door and, surprise, you can arrest someone on the street instead of their home. Cops need to start remembering that they're cops and not every person on the street is eying them up to kill them. Yes, it's dangerous and bad people want to do you harm. If that scares you so much that you need to hide behind armored vehicles, then maybe a change of occupation might be called for. Before anybody starts about how dangerous it is out there, let me ask, were fewer or more civilians killed by bad guys, as opposed to cops killed by bad guys? I'm guessing that more civilians were killed by bad guys, so where do I get MY tank? This discussion, just like every other time, will go nowhere and end with one side saying the cops aren't the military and the other side justifying the need for cruise missiles mounted on stryker patrol cars.
