My SA 1931 rifle has an Avis 12-18 barrel with a very good bore. Shiny and clean with sharp lands and grooves, a little frost but no corrosion. Tight muzzle and good crown. Don't restore firearms but this rifle needed a couple parts for function and completeness. Changed out stamped TG with NOS SA milled one that came in cosmo and RIA wrap. Perfect. Replaced cracked Booher HG with NOS Remington one, color and finish match nice. RIA sight leaf, blued WWI BP turning to plum, real fine. Receiver has USMC dink in front of serial and pricks under the serial that might indicate late WWII USN rework. Last WWII bolt body made, Brown & Sharp bomb over 8620, like new. Dark park is near one hundred percent on all metal. Rifle is very tight and has no buggered screws.
