Those currently imported Polish Toks have a safety added, the one here with capture paperwork does not have one. To a collector of Polish arms or Nam bringbacks it is a very desirable item as there are very few in country that do not have the safety or import marks let alone with paperwordk from Nam. I have no doubt at auction it woudl push $800 heck a Chinese or Russian Tok would and the Polish are very scarce compared to Russian non imports.

    First,

thanks for y'all's comments and opinions. The owner put the items up for auction and I am VERY surprised ( as is he ! ) at the current bid for the Tokorev.

Look for yourselves if you want to.

The SKS did OK also for a "modified" gun.

    Thanks again,

That is a more then I thought but not that surprising given that I have never seen a non import Polish Tok let alone a Papered Nam bringback one.

FWIW I bought a nam papered ugly missmatched CHinese Tok this last weekend for $200. I thought that a steal.

Default Tokarov pistol with all three documents

some years ago I sold a tokarev pistol with the capture, transfer, and ship to documents for $700. Advertised on one of the auction sites.
I had bought it and a Krag Norwegian "short" rifle from an individual in the early 1980's. He wanted to sell the both of them and I wanted the Krag.
Surprised me when the folded papers came out of the "cut-down" holster the pistol came with.
Didn't care much for the Tok then, appreciated the sale price 25 years later when business was poor and I was too.
    [Still have the Norwegian Krag!]
    Thanks, Paul

and its a VC capture and that will bring more than one from Classic Arms. However, without papers, its a used old TOK and nothing more. Granted, lack of import marks can bring its price upwards.

I have a Polish Tokarev from some years back - what an awful safety they added. The first time I took it apart I lost the tiny ball under the safety lever. It came with a "right-hand grip" on the one side. I'm left-handed and of course the ad picture didn't show that.
