    Default S&B carbine ammo...NG?

I have an Underwood carbine I just refurbed. Ran 1+1/2 boxes of LC + some older commercial Winchester thru it. No malfunctions. Next range trip I had S&B....so many stoppages I gave up after 2 or 3 mags.Fired cases jamming in the breech.Anyone else have any negative issues with this ammo? Joe

Hi Joe, My personal experience is that carbines are finicky with ammo. I have an M2, can shoot all day long with it in semi with different types of commercial ammo - aguila, S&B, but if I go to full auto, it will basically only take mil surplus stuff.. so, i just stocked up on the stuff that works. I am not an expert on ammo, but i suspect it's a matter of matching the dynamics of your gun with slightly different specs on ammo manufacturers. FWIW

I've never shot S&B US .30 carbine ammo, but have used a lot of their weird rimmed metric ammo in German drillings & the quality for them is great, and is boxer primed too.
