Mentioning algore's global warming fails to account for the fact that his mansion uses more energy than a small village, and he has added a second one!

That is what i heard also Mr. Sukey. Apparently it is "do as I say, not as I do." Can we all have an Amen on that?

Default Public transportation increasing as a result of gas price increase!

Well, I should have to review the Law of demand and supply if that is the case!

The issue on gas prices is never been new to us! It was said that it resulted to use of public transport has increased in the past couple of years due to high gas costs and tepid economic conditions. We can never deny the fact that more and more people prefer to commute than to buy gasoline in order for them to have their own ride. I know that most of us are being practical aside from the inflation of gas, recession is widespread in other countries. For us to be informed, 2011 was the second highest year of use since 1957 as more people took to buses and rails. Try to check this out for more updates: Public transportation usage still increasing.

Public transportation around here amounts to sticking your thumb in the air and hoping.

Same in Tucson. But we are spending milliions on a downtown trolley system. At least they won't have to lay new rails, just uncover the ones that they black topped over many years ago!

Mr. Sukey, sounds like a geat plan to recycle. However, if there is any recycle, it would be to melt down the old rails and put in new ones. That would spread the wealth around a bit more than cleaning up the old rails, if it could be done. Are you sure the new trolley system will include rails? How about the overhead wire system. Is that included in the new design/system?

I looked up the info regarding the tolley system: http://www.lightrailnow.org/news/n_tuc_2009-12a.htm

It looks like it will be a money maker a $36,000 per day in faires at $1.00 each. What I should have done is to see how long it would take to even out the costs with that amount of income, assuming it stays at that amount.

This morning we had an Oslama rep on TV telling us that America has now adjusted to the higher price of gasoline, and it won't be a major issue in the upcoming election. No s^^t? I missed the boat on that one.
