Just picked up a unopened bandoleer of FA 1908 30-06. When I got it home and opened 2 of the pockets the ammo has corrosion (the green cruddy stuff ) usually about 1/4 to 1/2 inch patch on the neck and shoulder. My question is there anything to remove this with. ie. vinegar, brasso, navel jelly.etc. I used steel wool on a couple. Or should I just leave it as is? Pretty neat headstamp FA 2 08 The bandoleer is dated March 12 1908.
