FA 6.35 T124 ball
Has anyone seen any of this ammo? What's it worth?
I found this info: http://www.thegunzone.com/salvo.html
Any other recommended sources for information?

I collect US military ammunition. What do you need to know? Here's a photo of all the 6.35mm cartridges with a 7.62mm (308) for comparison, and a flechette cartridge from another US experimental project.
These six cartridges were part of Infantry Board trials at Ft Benning, and arctic trials at Fort Greely Alaska in December 1959. When the trials were concluded, the cartridges quietly left the scene. AAI continued to pursue the flechette concept own their own dollar but even they eventually gave up.

Ray,
I have a chance to buy three sealed boxes of the ammo and I was looking for a ball park value. Not much of an ammo collector myself, but I'm always looking for something different.
Thanks,
Dave

Three cartons, all the same?? That would make them a little less valuable. I have seen single cartridges go for as little as $2 or $3 each or as much as $10 or $15. Cartons of 22 cartridges go for $25 to $100. Anyway, the value is really between the seller and buyer since there is no market outside collectors. Even among collectors, they are really a specialty that not too many guys specialize in. Most look for a single cartridge and try to get one of each, rather than full cartons.
I realize this doesn't help much but it's the best I can do.
