I want to mount a light on my M-15 (armalite). On my lower handguard I have a couple of picatinny at about the 4:00 and 8:00 position. I was thinking putting a bracket on the picatinny that I could put one of my LED mini-mags into, but was wondering if the LED mini-mag would survive the 5.56 recoil. Any thoughts?

I understand your point and have thought about that myself, recall the old saying "tracers work both ways". The thing is that for home defense I would like to be able to clearly identify my target before I "bust a cap" on something or someone in my own house.

The only info I can give you is that I tried putting my Typhoon light on my AR. The company said they could not certify it. I was using a Cheaper Than Dirt little plastic bracket on the barrel just in back of the muzzle. Basically it worked fine.
