Trapdoor Carbine ID?

I picked up this Trapdoor Carbine last year and finally took some pictures. I'd appreciate any comments and ID that any of you could provide.

The serial number 379912. The barrel index mark is perfectly aligned, so it looks original to the receiver.

Pretty sweet Carbine! Has it been re-blued in some areas?

Everything looks proper, including the serial number range - I'm thinking it might be one of those refurbed at Rock Island, for the Span-Am war - that would explain the blue spots, and absence of cartouche as they were sanded and not re-stamped.

It does appear to have had some level of refurbishment. The breech block appears to be a very old blue and is marked 1873. Were any 1873 marked breech blocks used on original production during this time, or was it most likely replaced? (I'm not trying to wish it original but I recall hearing about some time periods where older parts were used up, etc.)

Dick, as you noted the wood does not have a cartouche or P proof. The only external marking is a small 80 behind the trigger guard plate. I've posted a picture.
