    Default Slide Fire Solutions??...................

Was out today with my Colt M4 for the second time only.
I only got this to someday give my Son who used one in Iraq.
I never really thought much of these, am primairily a Garand and black powder fan.
But this thing is really growing on me. Its a blast, and really accurate. I think I'm hooked on it.
Anyway, there was a fella there with some new fangled little portable computer / cell phone. He showed me a video on it for these Slide Fire Solutios, SSAR1,
Basically it makes the gun seem to fire full auto by using its recoil. It was pretty impressive.
So, does anyone know much about them? Are they really as simple as it looks, and does it work?
I mean, I'm really accurate with the semi. And I can shoot pretty fast in semi/ But it sure looks fun?

You can use a whole lot of ammo in short order.

A web search for 'AR-15 bumpfire' will provide information on how to bumpfire a AR-15 with and without an additional device.

One whole heck of a lot of these devices (under various names) have been deemed illegal conversions by the BATF. Accuracy goes to chit with them, & you aren't doing barrel life any good either. A lot of would be Rambos will buy them & will have problems.........

Anyway, a true Colt M4 is already select fire/burst fire so the device is un-needed, you have the semi-auto carbine, right?

Many of them do work, but all of them are a waste of money, waste of ammo, waste of barrel life IMHO. But, it is your money, ammo, and barrel to do with as you please.

just be advised that the BATF can at any time declare these to be illegal conversions, publish that regulation in the Federal registry & you are an instant felon, with mandatory jail time & loss of all firearms......they have done so several times in the past with similar devices......... Do you want to gamble on it staying legal?

It does work, and it does have the drawbacks listed above. Worst case if it is deemed illegal and you know it, you destroy the stock and are out $300+

I own firearms not to fight against my government, but to ensure I will not have to.

worst case is that you do not hear of their being deemed illegal & get caught with it, then you can lose your home, possessions & liberty........ & then ya gotta convince yer wife that your having an inefficient toy is worth her losing everything.........

Face it, unless the NRA or one of the other groups get the word out, we'll never hear about the 30 day grace period..........& then you have to hear about it , even if they do.....

    Who needs the headaches?
