    Default 30 round mags

Looking for a few 30 round mags at the last gun show. By reports here and other forums was looking for original GI mags or AYP that had good reports as well. None of those to be found. But what I did find was what looked like Koreian military still in the wrap. Price was nominal, $20 ea. Has anyone bought these and gave them a try ?? I could imagine if they are military, that they were mostlikely made on our tooling and equiptment. Didn't want to plunk cash down on what might prove to be junk. Rest of the mags were the repo junk that doesn't seam to work for anyone, going to stay away from those. Any opinions welcome, and would sure like to hear from someone that has given these a try, thanks,
    Chris

Over the years I've bought and used and re-sold these. They work fine. Bob.

The reports on them has been very positive. If you look on line you can find them from $12 to $15 each. They seem to be better then the commercial magazines made here.

Is it certain that they are Korean manufactured? Are there any markings on the wrap or the mag itself? TIA

To Clarify: Those Korean magazines are not military. There were/are being commercially made by a South Korean dealer who lives in the US.

They are not made on any equipment of a previous US magazine maker. If you see that claim, it is nonsense.

I think they are marked UU on the back of them. Both the 15 round and 30 magazine have both types of followers available. The standard type found on the USGI 15 round magazine and the hold open follower most often found on the 30 round magazine.

Thanks to all, will look for them on the internet. $12-15 is better than the gun show price of $20. They were new in the wrap, one taken out of the wrap was marked UU. See if I can find them on line. Thanks again.

Ended up buying these from Cheaper than Dirt for a little less than $10 ea. Still in the wrap. Only a good test will tell, but the price was good enough. Have GI 15's that will get most of the use. Just thought it would be good to have a few 30's because I didn't have any. Thanks for the help all.

I tried one of keepshooting.com branded 30 rounders and it functioned fine in several different USGI carbines. Just ordered several more.
