    Default Another scope question

This may be stupid, but I figured I'd ask. With the exception of correct scope and sling ( and thanks to Chuck) I got my Z prefix A4 finished. It seems that I can't get my hands on an M73B1 to save my life, the prices leap away from my budget. So for the time being I picked up a 29S,, not too bad, considering. Here is my question, I have a Weaver B4 with the belled (?) eye piece, the 29S has the early style straight (small) eye piece. The B4 is 4 power and I'm told the 29S is 3 power. I would like to put the larger eye piece on the 29S,,,, it will fit, but does the eye lense influence the magnafication?? Something else, is a 29S allowed in vintage sniper?
    Thanks,

I bought a pistol scope for my sporterized nagant and I sent it back, still couldn't get entire sight picture. I have the picanny rail but I need the offset rings I guess to get it closer. I'm really looking forward to "harvesting" some hogs with it this summer on the Tejon Ranch.

The Weaver 29S was an "economy" line of scopes in 3x designed with a different lens system to sell for about 1/3 to 1/2 what a 330 cost. Weaver advertised it as sturdy enough for both small and large bore rifles. However, keep in mind these are all pretty old at this point.
Unless your scope is specifically listed in the rules (just published last week) you should request a ruling.

Another possible alternative for competition would be to get hold of one of the Reproduction Weaver scopes imported by Leatherwood for Gibbs, Creedmore et al.

    Regards,

    Default 29s

I picked it reasonable, couldn't stand seeing an incomplete A4 in my safe, I haven't fired it yet. I'll let everybody know how many rounds a 29S is good for LOL.
I suspect the eye piece does not have any imfluence in the scopes magnification? The eye piece is adjusted to obtain a clear sharp crosshair, and does not effect eye relief like many people believe,,, right? If that is the case, then it should not matter if it is switched between scopes of different magnification Ket me know if I'm way off, by the way, anyone got a decent M73B1 they'd trade?

Say worst case senario can always find a 330c to use. Personally I hate shooting with the 330 type scope, and have gotten quite fond of shooting with the K4 that would have been found on it in its use in 60's and 70's

I guess my post sounded a bit odd, I "didn't" mean trade for the 29S,,,,, other things,,, of more value.
