Default SRS check on SA 1903

SA 1371293 with a 3-39 star gauged SA barrel. Bottom of stock butt has markings of 1497868 and D-1838. Hand guard has marking D 28179. Bolt is polished with faint, electro pencil number that matches receiver number.
    Any info is appreciated.

You have a hit - sold in 1934 as a M1903A1 NM. I would guess one of the previous owners bought a new replacement Star Gauge barrel. Possibly it was "restored" from mixed parts at a later date.

very common for NM rifles to have a replacement 1937to 39 barrel...these were match rifles, and saw a lot of use.
if it aint broke...fix it till it finally is.
