Marine A5 Sniper's comment is right on. Congress made free speech a felony by an "overwhelming vote". This means it was passed with a veto-proof majority. In theory Obama could have refused to sign, but the bill would become law anyway. Instead his signature simply confirms his role as an accessory to the crime. What we have is two branches of our government conspiring to deprive Americans of a "God-given" right, while the mass media remains silent. We can only pray that the third branch (the Supreme Court) doesn't fall in line and uphold this travesty, when and if a test case ever lands on their doorstep.
I'm afraid that George Carlin hit it on the head: "I'll tell you about your Bill of Rights... Rights aren't rights if someone can take them away; they're called Privileges. And history shows that all we've ever had in this country is a Bill of Temporary Privileges."
