Vulch, I have never done any kind of scientific study but I have seen rifles with a buildup on guns that have come from a place with heavy tobacco smoke over a long period of time. I believe tobacco tars will accumulate on rifles that are coated with a thin coat of oil. I would like to hear from anyone who has observed this.
I do commercial sign work and they still smoke in bars around here. Neon tubing must have an affinity to it, it gets coated heavily with what I guess is tar.
