    Default Inland Carbine

Nothing special about this one. It is just a run of the mill Inland carbine(LOL), dated 12/42. When I saw it I just had to have it.

nice looking gun looks identical to mine(except the stock writing) which is just under 30k numbers apart. makes you wonder is was actually there or not.

Nice Inland. It is hard to say if it was there or not. I would not think that at the time we were fighting at Iwo Jima that it would have been known to the Brave Soldiers what a significant role Iwo would play in History, the signifigance was probably not widely known to most soldiers till maybe after the War,could be wrong as I am quite often.. But unless there is documentation a Soldier did this it is hard to speculate how it got there. Still a very nice Carbine..Thanks for sharing it.

All things considered, I'd rather ponder over the writing's authenticity and have the carbine in my proud hands while doing so.... I am too envious for words right now

My Inland in dated 2-44 an in the 5 mill. range. Weird too think that in just 2 short years so many were produced. Real nice M-1 an I like it.
