    Default I wonder if this will make the Chicago news tonight ...

    Sorry if you guys already saw this one;

    Disgusted with the corruption in Illinois which has become so engrained in the political system that they feel it can no longer be removed, "[f]ormer State Senator and Republican Cook County Board President candidate Roger Keats and his wife Tina are leaving Illinois to live in Texas. They bid farewell to their Illinois friends in a Wilmette Beacon article and with this letter this weekend, saying they're "voting with their feet and their wallets":

    GOOD BYE AND GOOD LUCK"

    This sounds a lot like another politician over 150 years ago who told his constituents "You may all go to hell, I am going to Texas."

    JB should have asked em for a ride. I forgot to say which JB, but then I realised it doesn't matter.

    The letter was very clear with its reasoning and I am sure it will not be entertained by the corrupt machine of Chicago politics.

    Now, as long as they remember not to bring any Ideas with them from Chicago, I am sure they will be welcome in Texas. One of the dealers at the local gunshow left Chicago for Texas for basically indentical reasons.

    One comment I laughed at. "Chicago is not the rest of the state." However because of the size of its voting population, it controls the state. Springfield may be the capitol, but that is irrelevant. Illinois is run from the mayor's office in Chicago.

    But that's the result of being dropped on his head multiple times as an infant.
