If Texans keep bragging we will have to cut Alaska in half and have TWO states larger than Texas
They say that "all Texas needs is good people and water" but then thats also all that Hell needs!

I was stationed in s. Texas for about three yrs. I wasn't crazy about it, coming from the Frozen North. Upon reflection and current events, I like the place compared to some of the other Namby Pamby states. ' course, it's hard to beat AZ for flat out Redneckness when it comes to politics.
I couldn't live in Illinois. Reasons to many to get in to.

I did in 1996, when I retired, by 2001 the place I worked for 40 years was forced to shut down by the state over one law suit after another, most of it BS! They also sold their other refinery in Hartford Ill. The "people we complain about" are making the money, mostly 'our' money! We are just smarter then the people who stay!

Most of the trees in Texas lean to the north. That's because Oklahoma sucks and Mexico blows

    John Sukey,
As to cutting Alaska in half, what are you gonna do with two frozen states full of mosquitos during the month they thaw out?

The weather has been quite nice recently. Nearly everything else still sucks though.

Deyheat, I grew up in the Chicago Area. Moving to Arizona was the best decision my folks ever made! When I left, 85% of the welfare checks were cashed in liquior stores! When the checks came out each month it was Jack Daniels, the day before the next checks it was Thunderbird or White port.
