    Default Notched M1903 Smooth Trigger

Is there any signifigance to the notch on the back of this trigger? Or, is it just something that someone did at home?

Also, what era rifles did the thin, smooth triggers come on?

    Thanks, Greg V

I've not seen the notch like your trigger has and I'd guess that is a civilian owner embelishment. The thin profile trigger was limited to very early production if I'm not mistaken. something like 03 to 1910. Smooth but thicker triggers were produced in several time frames including the A3.

    Default Same Notch

Hey Greg, mine has the notch too and also it is the early pointy trigger like yours. Mine is not as pronounced, had to stand it up for photo. Probably due to polishing because I think it came from a chromed drill rifle.
