It may be wasted information, but I think the jury is in on the simple fact that our military has a healthy up and down flow of information. If one is offended when he realizes that his immediate superior is not as intelligent as himself, he should endeavor to aid his superior as best he can. We have humbled the militaries of our enemies, and a few of our friends, by our intelligent inclusion of the brains of our people. Not to say that the situation occurs in every case. We have all witnessed the stubborn commander or NCOIC who insisted on being wrong. Come to think of it, this situation may be more common than we wish to admit. Many of us have served in units that owed their success to the stubborn commitment of the lower ranks to do their job, in spite of their supervision. The one thing we never ran out of was body bags.
