Default Information Check on a TD Carbine

Hello all, I'm new to this forum and am a great lover of trapdoors, Krags and '03's. I've owned and shot them for over 35 years. With this forum I hope to dip in to a little history on some of them if it can be found. If anyone can help me with a serial number check I would greatly appreciate it. The gun in question is a saddle ring carbine converted to the 1890 specs (Buffington barrel ring sight guard). The serial number is 341601. Any information would be of interest. Thank you.

341679 is the closest number recorded. The good news is that your number does fall in a block of other carbines - this is important because fakery is rampant since carbines have always brought more money than rifles.
I never believed there were SO many STUPID people in this country. Start working now to take the Senate in 2014.

To All: Thanks for the information and the link. I enjoy shooting these great rifles and it's good to know this is in the correct carbine range. Again, Thanks, Rick
