    Early Colt SP1 manual that came with Colt SP1 sporters. Note the serial number 100 on the rifle pictured in the manual.

    I missed out on the opportunity to purchase one of the earliest versions of this manual as shown on page 34 of The AR-15 Complete Owner's Guide by Walt Kuleck with Scott Duff. That being the manual with the name AR-15 COMMANCHE. If I recall, it went for three figures. A bit out of my range.
