Dave, I couldn't agree more! Other painting contractors all over love lacquer for its quick drying qualities. They use it (fortified lacquer) on new interior woodwork and can get done and get out quick. Only problem is, two years down the line the lower sash area of windows like Pella get their finish cracked from sunlight and water condensation and then turn black with mildew. This is nearly impossible to fix and has ruined more windows than I care to think about. OT I know, but I needed to rant I guess.
