    Default looking for a scope

will be scoping one of my M1A's, since the scope can be removed easily and i can shoot the original sights for service rifle competition probably will put this on a suspermatch M1A, which is quite accurate
have a steel mount from springfield armory and many options for rings
now for the scope, actually been looking at a bushnell tactical mid price range
learned long ago that just because it is expensive does not make it better
what i want is a tactical, mil spec, probably 10power, too much magnification and you are decding which freckle to puncture, my T36 at 600, i can read writing at 600 yrds and tht is too much
really open for suggestions, aesthetics do come into play

I purchased two Bushnell 32-1040 10x40 scopes several years ago for $150 each. The scopes have .25 target turrets, mil-dot reticle, rain guard coating, are made in Japan and have a lifetime warranty.

The Bushnell 3200 Elite scopes are a good value for a lower priced scope. I have one mounted on an Armalite AR-15 and the other mounted on a 30-06 FN-49. The image is clear and bright and the knobs have a solid feel. The range I use is 240 yards and 10x is more than enough for that distance.
