Well, now that they are here, they are getting proper meals. The Major is still suffering some after effects of taking a bad hit on the head. Walking is slow, but he makes it around the house just fine, sometimes has some trouble concentrating. Gloria seems normal to look at her, but the neuropathy has her in pain most of the time and her hands and feet numb. I am trying to get the best accupuncturist in the area here to treat her since the only answer medical science has is drugs that relieve pain but trash kidneys. She also has some dental issues but we will be going to the peridontist later this week. Since I really don't want dogs, they have adopted two cats who are good company and a lot of fun. They are getting along fine with my cats.
All in all, they are fitting into my household just fine and it is good to know that they are safe. BTW, today is the Major's 50th Anniversary with the Corps!

That's really good to hear. Tell them both they are in my prayers and wish the Major a happy anniversary.
Glad to hear that they are being well taken care of. Thank you for helping them out. We have a cat and she is great company without much work. I also have neuropathy and let me tell you, it's no fun. The only thing that stops the pain is oxycontin. I've been taking it every 12 hours for about 5 years. I have zero side effects from it. It is a God sent for me. The VA has me fully disabled and pay for ALL medical care, drugs, etc. Good thing too as the oxy would cost me $535.00 a month!!!
All of you are in our prayers.
Joe
PS: How was the Major injured? A Fall?
Pat, many thanks for the update. A bunch of us out here like to keep up to date but are never quite sure how to. You do good work!

CSP is what you make it.
Last winter when they were still in the motel and Gloria was in the hospital, the corner of the mattress he was sitting on bent and dumped him on the floor. His head impacted hard with the open dresser drawer. They found him hours later, doubled over on the floor, unconscious and barely breathing. Off to the hospital, then they released him to that awful nursing home where they pumped him full of very nasty drugs and would not allow him out of his wheel chair. Had Gloria not demanded his release AMA, he would still be there, probably a vegetable by now. Gotta keep those people drugged out of their minds so they are easier to control, you know.

Thanks, Pat !
If not for you and Gloria he probably wouldn't still be with us.
The treatment of our seniors is a national disgrace....But I know I'm preaching to the choir here.
Many, many thanks to you for all you do.

The credit goes totally to Miss G. She is a pretty awesome lady. I am glad to give her some back up. She wouldn't need it if she weren't so sick herself. Yes, that address is still good. I haven't moved in 20 years and probably won't.
