Can you call Hornady and talk to them. I've had very good luck with the tech's.

I don't what the pro-jector press is, but on my new L & L ap press there is two small detents on the bottom of the linkige on each side of the ram, they can be adjusted up or down to make the shell plate move on rotation

I've used a Pro-Jector press for over 20 years. From what you are saying it sounds
like the large nut on top of the shell plate may be adjusted too tight.

This is a tricky adjustment and just 1/8 of a turn can make a difference. If tightened
too much, it will do as you said and not properly index with the dies.

Also a good idea to remove the shellplate and check for dirt (powder residue, brass
shavings, etc.) and lightly lube the detent stops with a small amount of lubriplate
(moly type grease) using a cotton swab. Don't over lube!

I have two Pro-Jectors and one LNL. If removing and putting the shellplate back on does not do the trick I would consider calling tech support and let them talk you through adjusting the paws. They will tell you just a little movement goes a long way. They have been helpful for me with my LNL. Never had any issues witht the two Pro-Jectors after using them both for over 25 years. Good track record and never had to replace even one part! Tad
