    Default My P14 won't eat !!

I am having an issue with the follower and perhaps the spring in my P14.
I feed a round (dummy) into the follower, then when I bring the bolt forward to load the round into the breech the round gets stuck between the follower and the rail before it makes it to the breech. I have tried it (carefully) with a live round, but with the same results. I've inspected the follower and the spring and both appear normal. The tension on the spring feels as strong as the one on my P17. Anyone else have that problem? Any and all tips welcome and appreciated.

remove the cocking rod, and try a live factory round.

Are your follower and mag box compatible with the make of rifle? Winchester mag parts are aparrently incompatible with any P14 other than a Winchester.
Otherwise examine the underside of the reciever mag opening for burrs or "dings".
