Genuine WWI Marine Sniper Scope Case
There is an authenticate WWI Marine sniper scope case for sale on eBay.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MakeTrack=true
This scope case was issued to Pvt. Harry S. Smith at Marine Base Guantanamo Bay on 4 March 1918. The information added to the auction was provided by me.
I don't own it, and don't know the guy who does, but this is a rare piece of history; and they don't show up for sale very often. I thought everyone might appreciate a chance at it. Good luck.
By the way, the scope is not original to the case, which the seller has stated he will add to the description.

Hey Sniper, not to hi-jack the subjuct, but how is Old Rosey coming along?
-
Old Rosey is kicking butt. It will put three shots in a 1 1/2" circle at 100 yards (express sights), which is excellent for a big bore (410 gr solids Kynoch factory loads). It is fun to shoot, and everyone wants to try her at least once (not so many twice). I don't mind the recoil, and shoot her in tee shirts.
Feeding is excellent and never fails. The homemade hinged floorplate blows open on occasion, but I intend to replace the latch spring with a much stronger one, which should cure the problem.
I still wince when I dump 120 grs of powder in the case though. Case life is excellent. I have found nothing those solids won't penetrate to date.

Sniper. glad to hear nothing but good about her. You need to post a pic of her again so us guys that followed the birth of her can see her without looking back through a lot of old threads.
